2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: email address, display name, and profile photo (optional).
• Health & nutrition data: calorie goals, macro targets, food logs, and meal photos you choose to upload.
• Social content: posts, reactions, and comments you share with friends inside the app.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: features used, screens viewed, session length, and crash reports.
• Device data: device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
• Camera & photo library: only when you grant permission and actively use the meal-snap feature. We do not access your camera or photos in the background.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Gramigo app and AI features.
• Personalise macro calculations and Nouki's responses.
• Enable social features (friend feed, reactions, streaks).
• Send you transactional emails (e.g., launch announcements, account notifications). You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery), under strict data-processing agreements.
• AI model providers to analyse meal photos and estimate macros. Uploaded images are processed transiently and not used to train third-party models without your consent.
• Legal authorities if required by applicable law or to protect our rights and users' safety.
• Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice to you.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, plus up to 90 days after deletion to allow recovery. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format).

7. Children's Privacy

Gramigo is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States and Canada. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of Gramigo after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
